Old Friends...

Today we visited Wegmans on East Henrietta Road. It's the grocery store that I worked at for over seven years. A new Wegmans is being built across the street so I went to "say my goodbyes" to the store. This is a photo of the new store. Uncle Kurtie has been working hard on the construction of the new store. It cost over 30 million dollars to build!

Serendipity! After starting the blog yesterday, my long time friend from elementary school, Julie called me! She is in Rochester right now from Texas. So she gave me a call at my parents house and we got her son, Xander and Wyatt (they're about a month different in age) together at the Henrietta Town Park. A good time was had by all. We discovered that we both want to move back to Rochester and that our husbands our both more worried about the guns and ammo that they can't bring to NY than the positive effects of their children being with extended family. Of course, we also figured out that our husbands could in fact, have an immediate shooting partner, so there's a bonus for them to think about!

It's Garter Time!

After the best flight behavior ever (by Wyatt of course), we have made it to Rochester once again. We arrived on July 14th, which is Opa's birthday - so we celebrated with a rousing round of "Happy Birthday Cake" and headed off to bed. It was a LONG day for both Tanya and Wyatt, with travel consuming nearly 11 hours.

Today Wyatt had great fun chasing and "scaring" a garter snake around the front yard. We also spent a lot of time playing with the mailbox - a simple, everyday item here in Rush, but a foreign object to Wyatt - since we have the monster development mailboxes.

During Wyatt's nap, Tanya and mom went through the closet and cleaned out clothes for a donation to the Open Door Mission. Yeah for donations and cleaning out the old!

Today has been beautiful, with a little shower, a light breeze, sunshine and a touch of humidity - all in all, a fantastic day!
